Santa Anna Inlet, Alaska
(Read the LogBlog entry from Santa Anna Inlet)

Santa Anna Inlet provides some of the most accessible, well-sheltered anchorage in Ernest Sound. It offers the kind of peaceful, isolated and scenic anchorage we all dream of when we think of cruising in Alaska . Locals report good crabbing here. If you're lucky, you might also spot humpback whales feeding in the area. If you're really fortunate and have binoculars, you may be able to observe bubble net feeding, a method used by humpback whales to herd fish such as herring into compact, easy-to-eat schools.

Anchorage Info
The Grand Tour fleet anchored well into the inlet, near the outlet of Lake Helen near the head in 8-9 fathoms. A shoal area extends about 200 yards off the SW shore about one-half miles from the entrance.
