Grand Banks Yachts Earns Top Honors at Asia Boating Awards
Company voted Best Builder for the Second Year in a Row

SHANGHAI – April 22, 2009 –
Grand Banks Yachts was once again voted Best Asian Motor Yacht Builder at the fifth edition of the Asia Boating Awards. The company earned the top spot in the 51-85 foot category, during ceremonies held here today at Le Royal Meridien Hotel.
Grand Banks also won the award in 2008, that time in the 40-70 foot category. With its corporate headquarters in Singapore, Grand Banks shared the spotlight by the city itself, which was captured the award for Asia’s Maritime Capital.
"We're very honored to receive this award for two years in a row," said Grand Banks president and CEO Rob Livingston. "When Grand Banks came to Singapore from Hong Kong in the late 1960s, the maritime industry here was really quite small, especially for personal motoryachts. We've witnessed a remarkable evolution here since then, and we’re happy to see Singapore also get the recognition it deserves."
The Asia Boating Awards show is widely known as the region's premier industry event, aiming to recognize the best in the maritime business. The annual event, created by Asia-Pacific Boating and China Boating magazines, was first held in 2005.
