Grand Banks is pleased to announce its continued initiative to ensure customers and product remain the company’s most important priorities. To that end, the recent acquisition of the Stuart Yacht boatyard will give Grand Banks a 12,000-square-foot facility, which includes covered storage, a fully operational service division, a 50-ton TravelLift and dock space. The new Stuart Yacht Basin in Stuart, Florida, will also serve as the company’s U.S. headquarters.
The acquisition follows Grand Banks’ customer-first philosophy, and allows us to organize new boat commissioning out of the yard, while also offering service for all of our owners. Gregg and Nancy Burdick, the yard’s previous owners, have operated the business since 1974 and, during that time, developed a loyal following from Grand Banks owners looking for quality service. The company plans on investing in the property to increase the covered work area and generally update the facility to enhance the service and experience for our owners.
In addition to offering commissioning and maintenance services, Grand Banks will use the facility to showcase new product, and host private events. The first such event took place in March, when more than 50 people attended the company’s first-annual Yacht Hop. The event showcased two new Grand Banks 60s, along with a new Eastbay 44 and select pre-owned listings. Grand Banks has plans for further enhancements and renovations, and for a grand re-opening of Stuart Yacht Basin—the official home of Grand Banks.
