Custom Yacht: Grand Banks 60

Grand Banks has recently been working on the build of a Grand Banks 60, but this model has been customized like no other. Imagine a sumptuous oversized stateroom, adorned with deluxe soft furnishings and exotic teak detailing. From bow to stern, elegance reigns supreme.

This GB60 has been specifically tailored to our customer’s needs, with the main attraction, the enormous forward master stateroom, showcasing a spacious walk-in wardrobe, a wrap-around teak desk, and a dazzling blue silk velvet lounge. The up-galley’s cream stone benchtop pairs flawlessly with the teak cabinetry and is finished off with quality Miele appliances. Aft electric windows create continuity between entertaining areas and welcomes a salty sea-breeze for all on board.

One of our designers, John McKay, had this to say about the customization of this model, “The lower deck layout is fully custom, requiring a complete re-structure of the design. We analyzed the existing structure of the standard GB60 to see what elements could be changed.” He went on to explain what was modified in the design, “To accommodate the size of the master stateroom, the ensuite was shifted aft and the crew cabin space was redesigned, we also included a custom oversized teak walk-in-wardrobe, which is normally not a feature of the GB60,” this yacht truly is one of a kind.

A factory direct model allows us to work one-on-one with our client, making sure first hand that we are ticking all the right boxes. “On this build we worked closely with the owner, making sure we addressed each of their needs individually,” John explained. It gives us time to get to know our client and personalize specific aspects of the design, working together to build them their dream yacht.

This big beauty is stunning, but she’s also more than just a pretty face, at full throttle she slices through the water at 34-knots. Make passage from either the flybridge or lower helm in this model, experience the performance, embrace the freedom, and feel the confidence in a Grand Banks 60.
